Due to the economic climate our main sponsor has sadly not been able to pay their monthly sponsorship payment since March 2009.
This has been compounded by unforeseen factors such as the 39% weaker pound sterling and higher than usual annual floods contributing to slower than expected progress. The expedition is consequently running on a bare minimum of expense.
As at February 2010 Ed is still short of the total needed to complete this expedition.

The amount Ed needs to run the expedition per month is: £2000. A monthly breakdown of costs can be requested from info@walkingtheamazon.com.
This would not be donating to the charities Ed is trying to raise money for, but for the day to day running costs of the expedition.
